Author Interviews – Get to Know Me!
<insert videos and transcripts here>
Do you do book signings?
Absolutely! I do at least two signings a year. To find out where I am headed next check out my Events page.
Will there be more Easton’s books?
Yes, yes and yes!!! I can’t imagine a world without the Eastons all getting their HEA! Book #2 was supposed to release early 2017. Unfortunately, I had some scary health issues which kept me from writing for almost a year. I am all better and working diligently on getting back on my publication schedule. As soon as I have a firm date you all will be the first to know.
What happened to Promise Me You and Piper’s story?
Piper will get her HEA, I promise. The deeper into the book I went, the harder it was to fit Piper and her hero into it. I loved the story and I loved the characters, I just didn’t love those characters in that story. So I took some time to really think about Piper and her man. Who they were as characters, what they needed and, most importantly, what was keeping them from finding love, and I had a huge discovery!
I was writing the right story, but with the wrong couple AND in the wrong world.
Other author friends assured me that this happens sometimes and advised me to go with what was clearest in my head. So I went with the story, because I couldn’t stop thinking about the darkest moment (which is a tear jerker, people!). Promise Me You is now the first story in my new Nashville Heights series and releases October 2018. Book 2 in The Eastons, Drive Me Mad, follows Josh Easton as he finds love after heartbreak. Piper’s story will come toward the end of the series, since her man has to struggle more before he deserves her 🙂
What happened to the Magnolia Falls series?
An excerpt of Last Kiss of Summer, book one in the Magnolia Falls series was originally published in the back of A Taste of Sugar. By the time the book was released, the series title had changed from Magnolia Falls to Destiny Bay and characters names altered, but the story is the same and released summer of 2016.
Will there another Tucker’s Crossing book?
Good God, I hope so! When I wrote Tucker’s Crossing I mapped out a book for each Tucker brother, as well as one for Gina and Logan (who are my favorite). But between my other series, there has been no time to finish up the Tucker men. My hope is to visit Sweet Plains soon and write each of their books!
